Bouncing Ball

Bouncing Ball from Leovanni on Vimeo.

Finally got it posted. At first all the movement were too fast and choppy. I did some last minute adjustment (adding IBW's and rearranging the space) and now it's too slow and consistent... I will definitely go back in and try to fix the problem areas.

Incremental #1

Drawing from a live model was refreshing but at the same time it was hot and humid. I really got the hang of drawing roughly as the pose progresses. What I don't like about this, is the overlaps. I understand that the action occurs at one spot sometimes but the whole overlap makes the image looked jumbled up and confusing. it's hard to make out some of figure on the right since there is little movement. I prefer the individual sheets because it isolates the poses.

INCREMENTAL SAMPLE #1

These are incremental studies from the video "Single Ladies" by Beyonce. I was thinking about doing a mini parody of my own using my character Leovanni to do all the dancing.  So far I've only sketch into 20 seconds of the video. Just 180 more seconds to go! (sigh~)

Metamorphosis

Metamorphosis from Leovanni on Vimeo.

My aproach was to go with the flow. I started out with little simple figures and started to morph them. I couldn't think of any good ideas on the spot and I ddn't want to plan it. I felt the content was too simple and boring so I just kept adding, such as the part with the tongue. I added the bunny after I did the animating for the tongue scene  to activate more of the space. I felt like there wasn't enough going on for the most part and I wanted to add more, but time was running out. At least the morphing back to the museum was nice.
